“In 2003, I was exploring Coastal Oregon back roads when I came upon this sign in front of a church in a small town. It was at a time of heightened political polarization and angst, particularly in Oregon where such clear political divisions reigned between urban and rural areas.”
George Mason is a retired public relations counselor and educator who has lived in California, Alaska and Oregon, and traveled around the world.
